Welcome to the first edition of our CIO magazine event newsletter, crafted to connect you with our nationwide community of IT leaders. Just last week, we wrapped up our Dallas CIO Perspectives event and (as always) gained a boatload of ideas and insights from your colleagues, 125 of whom joined us at the Westin Dallas Park Central hotel.

Below you'll find some pithy wisdom and key takeaways distilled from the information shared by our presenters, including the CIOs at Atmos Energy, Dr Pepper Snapple, Pizza Hut, TopGolf and Union Pacific Corp. On the side of this newsletter, we offer some related stories and resources on CIO.com.

This year, we're expanding our CIO event agendas to include CMOs and other business leaders. This change reflects the more collaborative ways that strategic IT leaders and their organizations are working today.

The themes that dominated our Dallas event were IT/marketing collaboration, customer experience and the far–reaching impact of "digital disruption"—that confluence of social, mobile, cloud and analytics technologies—on businesses everywhere.

I hope we'll see you soon at one of our many CIO magazine events.

Fondly,
Maryfran
